Re: Midwest
Purdue article
"Boilermakers Washed Out By Waves"
Even when losing maintained the wit, not an easy task
"Purdue is now 0-4 all-time against Pepperdine.
Despite the loss, the Boilermakers wrap up a season full of records. Seniors Rabot, Anna Dushkina, and Kay Kay Magi exit as the winningest class in program history. This year’s team also earned the highest rankings in school history peaking at No. 22, the team’s current rank. Purdue also won the school’s first Big Ten Tournament Championship while becoming the first conference team to win four days in a row for the title. During that stretch the team knocked off three top-20 opponents, a feat the program had never done even once before, including the highest ranked team win with a victory over No. 11 Northwestern. The team also made the school’s fifth ever NCAA Tournament appearance."

Alicia Barnett starts this fall. Is Corning a walk-on this year? Did both Chernyakova and Livadaru really complete this year? (Lena wasn't mentioned in the senior day story.) Maybe you were already counting Lissey in, as Edell is certainly a walk-on.

Re: Midwest
Livadaru had a boot on at Big Tens and I believe Chernyakova graduated early. She played doubles at a 10k in Switzerland a few weeks ago.

I lacked your clarity of thought and was doing the available scholarship calculation in a different way, starting with the 10 players on the current published roster and trying to get to 8 scholarships in 2013. Anyhow, tennisbuddy has cleared that up for me: the published roster is inaccurate.

Re: Midwest
Mary Closs goes to UND. She'll definitely contribute. Quite a snag by ND, I'd say.

Re: Midwest
Bernard-Feigenbaum seems like a random get for Purdue until you realize that she and Lynda Xepoleas used to go to the same academy
