The most hilarious segment was the archer girl and Andrea on the wall. After watching almost three seasons of Samurai sword mastery, military trained sniper childs and masterful archers there is this girl, who talks about her aspirations as an Olympic archer and her expensive arrow, and then she is the first person on the show that cannot nail a walker in the head from 15 feet away on the first (or second) try. That made me laugh so hard. Kudos if that was meant to be ironic by the authors.

And they have 2 guns pointed at Merle's head... and both start running. I cant with this shit.

It was good episode though.

Glenn and Maggie have killed zombies but I don't think they've ever killed a human, and the fact he's Darryl's brother would've complicated things there too. I just hope their 'mercy' doesn't end up costing their lives .

The voices on the other line were creepy after learning who they were. Hershel is nice not to tell Rick there was no dial tone and let him figure it out. Took a nagging Lori from beyond the grave to snap him out of it.

We're nearing the halfway point of The Walking Dead's third season, then the show takes a break until next year. *Today, however, news has come down that this season is going to introduce a character that fans of the comic book will recognize and - because some folks are sensitive to spoilers - we've got the details inside.

According to TV Line, they've adding Tyrese to the show. *He'll be played by Chad Coleman of The Wire (a bit of trivia, he was the voice of "Coach" in Left 4 Dead 2).

In the comic book, Tyrese was a survivor discovered by Rick and his crew. *Tyrese, along with his daughter, was integrated into the group and he becomes a rather major player when Rick inevitably takes on The Governor.

I'm wondering if they saved Tyrese's reveal for the mid-season finale. *The question is, how are they going to introduce him?

“The Walking Dead” is not just that it is now the high-rated drama series on television; it’s also the fact that it is finding a way to keep its awesome reign of terror going during one of the busiest times of the year. We have not really touched on this too much in the past, but think about it: AMC’s zombie drama is up against such shows like “Dexter,” “Family Guy,” “The Good Wife,” and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and there is also NFL football to worry about and this week, the American Music Awards.

Even in spite of all this, Sunday night’s new season 3 episode (which was relatively slow-moving, albeit still exciting) ended up scoring a 4.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic. While this does not equal the massive 5.7 rating that “The Big Bang Theory” drew for its new episode last week, it is still a shockingly good rating for a show with no real stars, and rather just a fanbase that is growing by the day.

One of the other reasons why “The Walking Dead” is continuing to defy expectations is simply that despite being three seasons in now, the quality continues to get better and better.* Just look back at the episode featuring the deaths of both T-Dog and Lori: it was one of the most gut-wrenching moments of the entire series thus far, and it was handled with the perfect combination of poignancy and gore that is now a part of the show’s signature tone.

As for another interesting note here, the repeat of this episode was actually up two-tenths versus the one airing last week on Sunday night. This makes the drop of last week’s 5.6 for its first a little less glaring.

Thought it was pretty epic. So much went down. And set up what looks to be an awesome mid season finale. I cant wait.

The interrogation scenes were brutal. That was Glenn's passage to becoming a man. I bet he becomes some sort of a badass now.

I laughed when Merle told Glenn the zombie would be hungry an hour after eating him.

I think they are setting up for a Merle vs. Daryl showdown with both being questioned about their allegiances. Merle at the end of this episode and Daryl in the highlights for next week's. That would be pretty epic, I just hope my prediction about Daryl being the next main character to go is wrong.

Andrea is so frustratingly in the dark. However it should be interesting to see what happens with her next week. If they have her choose the gov over her old group I will seriously lose it.

My only issue is that Michonne and Andrea spent 8 months together then they encountered Merle together. There is no way Andrea didnt at least describe the group she was with to some degree to Michonne during that time. So the fact that they are going in blind not knowing who they are up against in Merle and that Andrea is inside the town seems a bit far fetched to me. I am willing to accept and just enjoy what unfolds however. Looking forward to next week.

The Walking Dead has jumped up in quality so much since Season 2 it's almost hard to imagine it's the same show. I was almost ready to bail after Season 2 but there has been some really great stuff the last few weeks.
