it was random but i read that was what they were going for. they are trying to show random acts of violence or something along those lines.
it is sad though, if you've watched since the beginning. i was sick friday, so i sat home watching degrassi, and it really bummed me out.  he's been on the show so long and it's really sad to think of how different it will be. and the whole liberty thing makes it sadder.

i didn't like jt anyway.
yes, i watch this pretty much religiously.
my favorite character is emma, because she's so hot. she used to be like, enormously ugly, but she aged well.
ernie, manny is a cheap whore. i didn't know you were into that.

back when i first watched i didnt know she was a cheap whore.  yeah im not into her at all. 
emma is hot now but good lord she used to be, umm, hideous. 
my favorite charecter is probaly either jimmy or peter. completely contrasting charecters.

jt was one of my favorites.
but it has changed so many times over the years. 
manny should cut her bangs off. i know it's weird, but girls are so much less attractive to me with bangs.

The only Degrassi newer shows I've watched are the ones I have with Kevin Smith, the Jay and Silent Bob Collection DVD, that's all I've seen of any Degrassi at all, from all the years.

I watched it but they stopped showing it here in season 9. Drake used to be in this show!
Apart from that it is notable for the hot girls. I first saw Nina Dobrev and Shenae Grimes on Degrassi and they have gone on to other shows. Also it has/had Charlotte Arnold, Miriam McDonald, Samantha Munro and Stacey Farber - all cute/hot girls
