On face value..it'd seem to be foolish to do so, but this is Serena we talking about. Winning 2 majors next year? The way she's a lock at Wimbledon, it's just a matter of adding either the Oz open or the u.s. open..and wouldn't be surprised if she added BOTH.

In fact there's more reason to expect Serena to duplicate her '12 season, than there's any indication for Maria to duplicate HER '12..remember, she still hasn't had two strong seasons back to back.

Masha's '12 season wasn't strong at all , except clay season, she has much to improve next year and it's quite possible.

For Serena it's too much to duplicate next year, she might win a Slam +3/4 titles, but not 7 titles, including 2 Slams/Championships and PM

You might be on something..for as great as Maria's year for her standards, for Serena it'd been like her '07 season, so indeed..lots of room to improve for Masha.
