Re: Elina Svitolina Cheering Thread!
Laura has a huge game though, not too many juniors with such an exciting style

I know. I just dislike the Robson hype and some of her stans on TF. She is talented obviously but we already have a way better version of her on the tour (Kvitty).

Re: Elina Svitolina Cheering Thread!
i think she has done well to get so far with the unbelievable pressure on her from british fans and she will get a lot better. kvitova doesnt have gangnam style and her coaching team sucks ass

Re: Elina Svitolina Cheering Thread!
Elina can break the top 50 next year. Let's hope she works hard in the off-season. Does she have a real coach by the way? Or she is coached by her mum just like Mona?

Petra's coach is my fav coach on the tour though. I really like him for some reason.

WTA Challenger title doesn't count as a proper WTA title.

Re: Elina Svitolina Cheering Thread!
If you see some of the interviews, she usually has a coach.

Kvitova's coach is more like her daddy. I dont know how they can let a top 3 player have so many little injuries all season. Maybe we should just be thankful they finally seem to have the breathing thing under control.

Re: Elina Svitolina Cheering Thread!
About the Elina-Robson-Kvitova thing. Yeah, Robson is overhyped by British fans (we have to understand them though - a big country with great tradition in tennis to be so week at women tennis in the last many years), but still is better than Elina overall. I like both and I'm objective.
A comparison to Kvitova is pretty abstract and I think Robson will have a better career, because Petra looks like a stale player even at this young age. Passed her short peak and never going to get there again I hope I'm not right though.
Elina isn't a potential grand slam winner, I think you guys understand that. May be a regular top 20 someday and I hope she will.
Robson, on the other hand, is.

What makes you say that?
Remember Robson is a bit older than Svitolina and around Svitolina's age right now Robson was right outside the top 100 just like Svitolina will be tomorrow.

Re: Elina Svitolina Cheering Thread!
Personally I think the Robson hype has gotten way out of hand, hopefully one of the top 6'ers will be able to hand out a beatdown to her at the AO just so her fans can gain a little perspective.

Re: Elina Svitolina Cheering Thread!
Elina is a hard worker with not such a big talent and this kind of player usually climbs slowly and regularly in the rankings to some point and then remain there for a long time. I think top 20 is reasonable for Elina.
Robson is a great talent, but with a bad brain on her shoulders, who struggled a lot with her own demons, but found her way eventually and will raise up the rankings fastly now. This kind of player has a lot of ups and downs in their career and even if there's a chance Laura will end up just a common top 50 player, she may end up a grand slam winner as well.
At least that's my vision.

I hope she'll be player ranked within #15 and #8. We'll see.
