Wonderful week for Alison. Her 1st 25k and her ranking will soon be closing in on the top 200 as well. Another decent week in Helsinki should clinch it.
Tough match. Alison started like a house on fire losing just 2 points in the 1st 5 games but thereafter it was pretty close. Still for most of the match Alison was pretty solid on her service games as she has been throughout the tournament.
Even though Alison still has one more tournament left this year I'm already looking forward to Alison's 2013 season. I think she is going to have a great year coming up.

I think so. It always felt like it was just a matter of when not if because the talent always seemed to show up at the big events. I think prior to this Autumn, Alison has probably been more focused on finishing her studies rather than putting herself fully into her tennis career.
Hopefully now she has finished those studies she can start really making a big move up the rankings next year.
