Been doing really well in dubs lately and better in singles (got world rank back) .
Do u think her and steph banger" chance for ao dubs wc considering there recent great results including winning Gambier 25k?

Re: Tyra Calderwood
They should be. Tyra's doubles ranking has always been quite high. Great to see her with a singles ranking again.

Re: Tyra Calderwood
Tyra and steph make another final in bendigo, going for a hatrick of titles. Def deserve ao dubs wc regardless of age, should be rewarded, people agree? Storm Sanders seems like a very handy dubs player too for such a young player, they play her & her british partner sam murray

Re: Tyra Calderwood
Tyra def. deserves it. She's not even old yet (21). She'll be ranked in the top 250 by the end of the year which is an awesome effort.

Re: Tyra Calderwood
Hopefully her great results in doubles will help her singles too, although she is (clearly) a naturally better doubles player.

Re: Tyra Calderwood
Nice to have some doubles specialists coming through, even tho Tyra and Steph probably are still seeking higher accolades in singles.
It was always nice to follow the likes of Catherine Barclay, Louise Pleming and the ITF Doubles Queen Lisa McShea on the doubles circuit. We are becoming less and less prominent on the double scene apart from Stubbs (until recently) and to a lesser extent Stosur and Rodionova. Pity...

Re: Tyra Calderwood
Agreed, I miss Lisa McShea, then Trudi Musgrave used to also dominate in dubs until that horrific knee injury!!
Half the trouble with our girls is they change partners every second week and never get into a routine...hopefully Steph and Tyra stick together!!

Re: Tyra Calderwood
I think it'll be hard for the partnership to last. Bengson is on the way up and Tyra has sorta stagnated. Steph also has a much bigger game than Tyra and I think can really go places if things go well for her. Tyra may not have the same potential so it may be a case of Steph "carrying" her. Tyra's definitely a good doubles player though, maybe just not explosive enough to make it to, say, top 100.
My crappy/humble opinion though... could definitely be wrong!

Re: Tyra Calderwood
I wish Tyra could find a new consistent/solid partner. She could become a doubles specialist.
