Congrats Serena,

But contrary to belief Serena is still playing the same game that she's always played. Serena's serve is the same that it has been for years. The problem is that this new group of players have not perfected their game and upped the ANTI.

Vika who is a baseliner has a horrible first serve and limited skills.

Kerber has a weak first serve and slow court coverage.

Maria the ball basher has not perfected her serve to be a consistent weapon and she is a slow mover and horrible at net.

Aggie has a horrible first serve and no power

Petra is slow and out of shape.

Sarah being in the top 10 is a joke.

Stosur has a good serve but she doesn't have any weapons.

Caroline is just a base liner with limited skills and no first serve.

Na Li is okay but she doesn't have any real weapons and she has a bad temper.

These girls have beaten Venus because she's been ill and didn't know it and is still adjusting to her illness and trying to manage it.


Serena isn't playing the same players she did when she first came on the scene. These girls don't have the talent to do any damage.

These girls don't have the talents that Venus, Serena, Hingis, Lindsey, Pierce, Seles, Jen, Kimmy, Justine, Amelie and a few others had when they were all in their height of tennis.

Think about it, Venus, Serena, Hingis, Lindsey, Pierce, Seles, Jen, Justine, Amelie, etc all won multiple Grand Slams when the entire field was youthful and at the height of their tennis careers.

These girls are in their early and mid 20's and many of them can't win a grand slam, or multiple grand slams.

Oracene is right when she made the statement that Venus and Serena is OLD in regards to tennis years and if Venus had been diagnosed years ago and been able to get the treatment she needed she would have won more grand slams.

Think about it, Venus and Serena has been injured a lot and these girls still was not able to either get a grand slam or get two grand slams.

Serena and Venus have more grand slams than the entire field put together.

I watched Serena and Maria's match and although Maria did manage to win 7 games, she doesn't have the skills or the talent to even challenge Serena, and it's not that Serena is playing any differently than she has been.

The other girls have not upped their games. Justine is an example of a player upping her game to not only compete, but to win. Justine was only like 5'5" or 5'6" but she won 7 grand slams at a time when the entire field was good.

These players can't do that because they are not that good. They are at the top because they are young and healthy and can play a full tournament, but they are not good.

Maria has reached her peak, and she was blessed to win the FO because Serena was upset in the first round. But she's still the same ball basher who can bash the lesser opponents off of the court. But when matched with a real top player like Serena her game is exposed.

Before Venus' illness was discovered, Venus was beating Maria at Wimbledon in the quarters and semi's year-after-year and the WTA soon stopped putting her in the same draw as Venus and Serena.

Even this last match she played when Venus first came back from her illness, she barely beat Venus because Venus started losing her energy.

What I'm saying is Serena is playing against an entire field with limited talents and skills.

Serena is not serving any differently than she's always been serving. She's not serving any fast than she's always been serving, her court coverage is no faster than it's always been. She still is weak in her lateral movement but the players don't have the skills or talent to exploit that. Serena's net game is still not that good but the players don't have the net skills that Justine had to bother Serena.

With the exception of Venus, Maria, Vika, Aggie, Kerber, Petra, Li, Sam, Sarah, and all of the other players have lesser talents and skills. They all have limited skills but they can perfect their first and second serve with hours of practice on the court and they can do like Carillo stated and get physically fit.

If little Justine could perfect her first and second serve and get physically fit, they ought to be able to do it too. They have millions in the bank they can afford it.

Rena today would've been too good for anyone! I'm glad Maria managed to win 7 games and managed to keep up with Serena in rallies for most part. And Maria hit plenty of winners herself so that's encouraging!
