I know about him rooting for Vika, but I doubt that he's jumped Caro's ship, even though I found it strange that he didn't post anything here after Caroline won Moscow.

He's been in agreement with the worst of Caro bashers in GM. So, I think that's more than suspect I was always of the opinion he was just a typical fair-weather fan

He was always a divisive troll and nothing more. I trust Ryan acts to ensure he dose not return.

I have No idea, I hope he has, the section is much friendlier, constructive, and active without him. Either way he's not worth talking about.

He likes to argue
His Caroline arguments in GM were right on.
You dont win 20 titles, over $12 million in prizemoney, 67 weeks at #1, while you're just turning 22, unless you're an excellent player.
People would argue about Caro's style of play, and forehand.
Even her dad criticised her early coaches.
But if you watched Sharapova's criticism of tennis academies, she said watching 10 year olds hitting groundstrokes for 6 hours a day might look impressive, but it doesnt bring out the quality of their games.
I agree with that. Caroline's style of play, is unique to her, and something that brought out her quality.
When they change things, they have to be careful to keep the quality, and it looks like she's getting it back recently. But we wont know until she's in top level draws like AO

I love that you think I was banned or something... that's cute
Sorry to rain on your parade, I'm still here. I'm just a bit preoccupied with other stuff lately, I was at two different tournaments for the past two weeks and my time here is a bit limited right now.

Sharapova is right. What happened to mini tennis as a tool to promote game in young players? As for Caro I enjoyed The kremlin cup because the surface brought some equality and seemed to make the tactical game more important. Rather than increasing joint tournaments, i wonder if it wouldn't be better for the WTA to focus more on surfaces that suit the women's game better?

I didn't think you were, I hoped you were from this section... Anyway it's not my birthday for a while yet so I wasn't expecting any presents yet
Maybe I should send off a wish list...

I have so little in my life. Did you really need to take this tiny "victory" away from me?

In the US there's tennis on a smaller scale for kids (I forget the name of it right now). I see commercials for it during the slams and the commentators mention it from time to time.
I think the quality of women's tennis tends to be better on medium paced or faster surfaces rather than slow/very slow surfaces.

Serena's motivation vs Sharapova is a lot greater than vs Stosur though.
I was rather surprised to see Vika lose so easily to Sharapova. Even if Sharapova was gonna beat her I thought it'd be see some long battle to get over the hump.
