All Dutch players show plenty of personality on the court, especially the top players. So I don't know what you're complaining about.

Re: Indy de Vroome
Indy It's shame she couldn't win the tournament. But it's been a good week nonetheless

Re: Indy de Vroome
Indy is on the EL for 25k Makinohara in Japan
And she got an MDWC too! Her 1st pro challenger tournament
What I do find odd is that she is not on the EL for 25k Hamamatsu, is she going all the way to Japan for 1 tournament?

I got the answer for this
Indy is on the entry list for Osaka Mayor's Cup (junior GA, 22-28 Oct).
Clever move if she wants some easy points and also perhaps some wins here can boost her confidence, 'cause she needs some back to back wins so bad.

Re: Indy de Vroome
Indy
First challenger win!
Also, this is a GRASS tournament, which is probably her best surface

Re: Indy de Vroome
Dropping 7 games against a useless WC
Makinohara is on artificial grass, so it's more like (outdoor) carpet
No real grass courts in JPN

Re: Indy de Vroome
Yeah, I would have expected an easier scoreline, but this also happened in Gainesville.
She dropped 7 games to qualifier Keri Wong, then beat top seed Arina Rodionova 0 & 3.

Re: Indy de Vroome
But that doesn't mean anything
Losing 7 games to Kaji isnt a good sign for being able to beat Eguchi too.

Re: Indy de Vroome
That's not what I'm saying
Just saying that dropping 7 games to Kaji doesn't necessarily mean she is not playing well overall.
She showed in Gainesville, the dropping of 7 games to Wong, didn't mean anything
I'm confident she can beat Eguchi actually. Hope she doesn't lose with a fat score now

Re: Indy de Vroome
No, but that is what I am saying.
Results from the past are in no relation to current matches.
Who knows what kind of off-day Arina had there.
