I think it's a bit sad so many people aren't just satisfied that the fall has come (and thus they don't need to see Pushniacki atop the rankings) but now want to glory in her failures too... I'm as glad as the next guy that she's not anywhere near no1 anymore, but seems a bit mean to gloat about it...

Jankovic nearly did this in 2009 - she was YE#1 in 2008, and #9 pre-Moscow. She was #8 and last into the YEC.
Anyway, #1 to #11 is hardly a worst-evah drop from the top-10.

Question: I don't really follow Caroline closely, but what is everyone's assessment of why she's slid down the rankings? Has she just over-played and burned out (like Jankovic), have people just caught on to her game and figured out how to play and defeat her? Any ideas?
