As Caro and Sam can still earn points in Sofia after Moscow, Marion should be competitive enough in Moscow in order to achieve her ultimate 2012 goal : to be top 10.

Marion agrees. Vika is playing so well now. There is still a small gap she will try to reduce in 2013. She explains that Madrid illness killed Clay season.

Without this I think she would still be safely within the top 10. Still I think this is a really impressive couple of years from Marion. Would never have expected her to get back into the top 10, let alone get to #7 and do as well as she has consistantly.

It's exactly what she said to Christine thomas from l'équipe. She can do better than R2 in RG and Wimbledon. And imo, in Madrid and Roma.

Just before Moscow :
I'm pretty sure that Marion won't play fed cup in 2013. Amélie has choosen to play R1 on clay indoor in Limoges i/o hard indoor in Paris.
Anyways, Gorgeous, Petko and Kerber are better than Cornet and Parmentier on clay.

With sam's defeat in Osaka, gap between Marion and Sam is now minus 180 pts. Marion can still be 1st ALT in Istanbul if she wins Moscow tournament and Sam losing early.
