That's right. It's still something that not all managers understand. A bye don't give you any points.

Estoril was Day 3 and that's 30 points.

Thanks for your replies. But would there would be any differences if the Back Up player whom you have chosen for the first day wins or loses?
In my case, I had chosen Ivanovic and she won, so even without a BYE I would have gone past the first day.

The player you pick for day 1 is only counting for the TB, it's still just a bye.

But you could have chosen Ivanovic for later, had you survived day 2.
