The Eurosport boss on twitter said they were also negotiating. This was very surprisng but I guess the WTA got what they wanted. A bit more money and no coverage.

How did they announce it? Actually very surprised they would say something on air. They probably didn't say if they have some new options for next year? I can't believe Eurosport has no tennis next year. Well, besides three Slams.

The danish ES commentator this week said more times on air, ES don't have got the WTA rights for next year... mainly he added a yet also... But he said it was not looking good for ES to get the Rights...

Someone asked on SMS. He said unfortunately Eurosport lost the WTA rights for the next year. C more Tennis got the rights. Then he said they will still have AO,FO and USO and possibly one or two additional WTA tournaments.
But the main rights are lost.
This is indeed a big fail cause C more Tennis will never show WTA over ATP. I wonder how many WTA matches they will show every week? Probably the final only (if it doesn't clash with the ATP final), then no matches.

Gee, that's awful. Like we discussed it here before. How will Eurosport fill the space that tennis leaves behind? One or two additional tournaments is really needed. Maybe they'll pick up some smaller ATP tournaments as well.
I guess every possible exhibition tennis will be on Eurosport next year. They need all they can get.

CMore (Canal Digital) have mainly all the 250 mens also if they want to show them, so ES can't get (m)any...
In Denmark we has C8 so they can show mens on CMore tennis and womens on C8. Can't that be done in sweden showing tennis on CMore Sport?

^ It can, but I doubt it. They have plenty of other (more popular) sport events. It's unlikely they will show tennis on 2 of their channels.  |

Atleast it can be showed WTA delayed on CMore tennis, as they untill now has about 80% showing delayed old mens matches...

Not here in Germany because Tennis doesn't have really high TV ratings expect for the Grand Slam tournaments on Eurosport.
They will show more Football, like this week where they show the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup

This week we will have to wait untill 3am watch the maybe full CO Finale on ES 2... so can be done better on a TV channel showing only tennis....
