Very impressed that Elbaba beat Zoe!! I mean she's just a freshman.. wow. What about Julia's game that troubles her opponents?

Re: 2012 Waatc
Great final, but Embree is so clutch! It's really starting to get ridiculous...4 straight games from 2-4 in the 3rd.

Lauren winning is just so...
Her game is extremely uninspiring.

you mean her MENTAL game?
best offensive player vs best defensive player, fitting final. Julia was jaw-dropping, scored countless winners, can't find particular weakness. Even moonballed well, a setup for her pouncing drives. But...DFed a lot and missed some crucial chances. Will write report on ma blog later, too tired now. Maybe tomorrow.

Re: 2012 Waatc
F (3) Lauren Embree d. Julia Elbaba 2-6; 6-3; 6-4
that's total 27 gms? Multiply by 3 and you get Julia's winner count, she scored 3 or more winners per game

Riviera/ITA All-American Championship
Oct. 7, 2012 at Riviera Tennis Club (Pacific Palisades, Calif.)
PEPP's domination in the back draw
Round of 16: #7 Guillermo/Issara (PEP) def. #31 Tiffany Welcher/Alyssa Hibberd (Memphis) 8-6
Quarterfinals: #7 Guillermo/Issara (PEP) def. #9 Stacey Tan/Ellen Tsay (Stanford) 8-2
Semifinals: #7 Guillermo/Issara (PEP) def. #3 Annie Goransson/Anett Schutting (California) 8-2
Finals: #7 Guillermo/Issara (PEP) def. #15 Danielle Collins/Lauren Embree (Florida) 8-3
Issara is easily top 3 volleyer with Mar and Christian.
