PYW Doubles Tokyo
Welcome to Tokyo, Japan! After two weeks of smaller tournaments, the Asian hard court season really hits its peak here in Tokyo at the fifth and final Premier 5 event of the year. Besides the majors, this is one of the biggest, most important tournaments of the year for the stars of the WTA, so they will be coming out in full force in Tokyo. The past two weeks some some experimental, newly-formed, or hoping-to-improve tandems playing at the International level, however most of the top teams in doubles are assembling here in Tokyo, as each wants glory and in the case of all. The top seeds are Vania King and Yaroslava Shvedova, who have already done so well together. Many teams hope to pick up some points in the race to the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships in Istanbul so they can qualify. But not many teams here are in the running for it, there are mostly new pairings here, but many others are sure to have their fair say before this week is over. Your votes decide the winner!
