I love Katowice. My best friend lives there and I always enjoy visiting Katowice. It's not the most beautiful city out there but it does have personality and it's quite lively. And the people are great. Would be absolutely delighted if there were to be a tournament here and I would definately go.

wow. I mean it has changed rapidly in the positive way during the last few years (with the 'city of gardens' project in particular) but I can't imaging loving this city

Gotta be honest, I didn't even know where Katowice was before opening this thread.
But I don't like the idea of more indoor clay events. What was wrong with Warsaw? I know Dulgheru was a bit of a nuisance but still...

Katowice sounds familiar to me. When I first saw This thread I though that is where an ski jumping event is held, But I realised thats zakopane 
Is Katowice where an accident happenned and someone died some years ago?? I think i saw it on tv then |

Belarus doesn't have the necessary facilities for a WTA event, unfortunately I don't think.

Yes, Katowice 2006, 'pigeons exhibition'. 65 people died and 170 was injured
