Sachie forfeited the match when she went off the court mid-way when she trailed 0-2 in the third set.
She stormed off the court in a very dramatic exit or something happened and she was forced to leave.
She will not get any ranking points or prize money at this tournament.

I don't understand why Sachie isn't defending her 50k title in Gifu?
Instead she has been playing quallies of the clay challengers in America, losing in the opening rounds. I really don't understand her scheduling.

Surprised not to see her in Tsukuba this week at her home tournament.
I'd also be curious to know what her focus is? Sadly for us it sounds like she has other ambitions outside of tennis.

For some reason, Sachie is playing in Cairns, Australia this week.
She won her opening round as well:
Sachie Ishizu (JPN) d. (Q)Nidhi Chilumula (IND) 60 61
Chang Liu from China is next. I'm not really expecting anything special though.
It is great she has ambitions outside of tennis, but she has so much talent to let it go to waste.
