Her birthday isn't until Sept 23rd. I guess she was having an early birthday cake with family, maybe because she is off on her travels.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. But we still have no idea where she's playing next I'm thinking possibly Beijing Q's if her ranking is good enough to make the cut ?

Yes. Her sister play college tennis at Furman Univ. so she went to SC to watch her play.

Looks like Mel is back in NYC to train! Wonder where she is going next?? Imagine the last half of American ITF's...she has a few points to defend! GL Mel on the rest of the season!!

Yeah, it looks like she'll end the season with playing a few of the Fall USTA ITF's . Can't really blame her for playing it safe while still working on her form at the USTA center .

She is currently 1st on the entry list!!

Smart move  She just has to keep herself safe for the AO MD. Plus, it would be nice if she could finish the year inside the top 100
