Even Justine was smiling after that moment And god knows how tough this loss was. 3rd Slam final of the year she lost ... dang when you think about it, she could have realised the calendar Slam She could have been the greatest of her generation.
Funny how things can change so drastically in 6 years. Serena still around, Maria winning only 2 slams after that slam, both Belgians retired, etc...

Coulda, woulda, shoulda, didn't!
Its hard to believe Maria was just 19 then. She was so confident in finals then, no matter how big the player on the other side of the net, and now(bar clay finals)

Well, it was not that much of a stretch But it didn't happen anyway.
Yeah , how things can change !! I would like to believe Vika (I know you guys hate her ) will be a multiple Slam winner in the same year in the future, but who knows really? I prefer to be optimistic.
Ohhh also in 2008 Pova said she would retire at 25 if she achieved as much as Henin did. Guess she changed her mind.

Vika has passed her peak and will never win a slam again.

So you think Maria has achieved as much as Henin already?
