Anett won 64 64 
She was leading 3*-2 but got broken, then Anett broke again to get a 5*-4 lead, Siniakova was leading 40-0 in that game! Saved 2 break points in the last game and managed to get away with the victory using only 1 MP 
Next up is probably Townsend  at least Bouchard is gone

Good fights, Anett! Hopefully she is improving with every match.
At first it seemed that Townsend will smash Zacarias, but the second set has been very tight now..
So it is Townsend to go through to QF as expected. Now it is time for Anett to finally beat her.

I don't see why she can't as she has been close in the past and Townsend hasn't been ridiculously impressive, not playing great against Ucros
I genuinely think Anett can win this tournament, as Putintseva has just saved a bunch of Set Points and I think will lose the first set
BTW could it be on a streamed court??? |

Anett is listed for 25k in Clermond-Ferrand on the week of 24th, but she is only 86th alternate and the list has many 1st and 2nd priorities so it is not very likely that she can participate.

btw, it is a pretty decent field for a 25K, if Anett could make it, definitely would be helpful to experience pro circuit
