Esther says that the players are getting better, so she keeps training harder and raises her level.
The standard of opponent is much higher than a few years ago, but Esther was so far ahead to begin with (she was the first to really take it properly seriously) that they are always playing catch-up.

There is a lot more competition on the men's side. But Esther seems to be ruling the roost on the women's side that it looks like a joke. She basically bagels everyone she plays. It makes me wonder how she would fair on the WTA.
