Has she lost strength? Now her FH is the most powerful too, together Serena, Kvitova and Sharapova. What does it work to hit stronger if you don't take the court?
She has lost weight on the FH, it's not as heavy as it uses to be!

How she LOOKS at a given weight is a non-issue. It's all about health and performance.
that doesn't make any sense at all in the case of ivanovic, because she had much better results when she weighed more.

A 10 pound weight loss is dramatic? She's not anorexic like Hantuchova, just lean.
It's much easier to move around the court without carrying an extra 10 pound bag of weight on your body. Less strain on the hips and knees without the extra weight she had in her tummy.
Nobody complained about anorexia when Mardy Fish lost 30 pounds and got down to a lean weight. Certainly Federer has proven that a player doesn't have to be bulky to dominate the field.

Leave Ana alone, she's doing just fine.
Exactly, her game has improved so much I just saw the closing set against Stephens and certainly like what I saw...finally her game has come around and that's the bottom line...keep going Ana!

She's no skinnier than Mona Barthel, who's virtually the same height, and no ones accussing her of being anorexic or needing to gain weight so she can hit harder.

Mona has a natural slight built and is quite sinewy; Ana has a larger built and she doesn't look to have a lot of muscles; she lost a lot of muscle mass and that's the thing that is concerning.

Simply speaking, muscle mass doesn't vary much between individual girls, but fat content does. Ana just couldn't lose "a lot of muscle mass" and still be able to play anywhere close to her level. If you'd ever spent time in a cast you'll know how difficult training is until those muscles have built up again.

Without a doubt this. She looks perfectly normal to me a lot of people in Britain could do with following her dietary habits and regime!
If only Monica had gotten to Ana's weight in the late 90s

She also had much worse results. She didn't stated shedding pounds until AFTER her game collapsed.
After RG 2009, when her slam-winner points dropped off, she was outside the top ten.
By early 2010, she was outside the top FIFTY.
Stanford 2010, ranking #63. And there's no big injury layoff, she playing. And losing.
2011, her ranking was up a bit, but still outside the top 15.
Now she's up to #12.

She's lost weight steadily, not in crazy drops or anything, for two years. And her rank has risen from #63 to #12.

She was almost top 15 in the end of 2010, this is what she looked like and this is how she played during that time:
After this, during the off season, she lost the weight. This is what she looked like in the beginning of 2011:
So, after losing weight, she barely could win any matches, the beginning of 2011 was a disaster. She had too many small injuries and couldn't win 3 setters. After RG she was #50 in WTA race. When she hired Nigel things got better, but her shots still look much weaker and she still has too many small injuries. This year she already had 3 or 4 small injuries. Besides, she doesn't have a fitness coach or physio. The fact that she's skinny doesn't mean she's fit.
