which one is the real maria ?

- on the photoshoot / off-court events she seem like a great model / spoke person with great fashion sense.. but a bit too sterile / controlled.. this is no way the real maria personality

- on the court photos, she showed her fierce competitive sides , i think this is the competitive side of masha.. but surely masha is not competitive person outside tennis ?

- tennis practice court photos, she seems to show the real maria here, serious about tennis but still laugh a lot with her team

I have never been that crazy about her earliest photoshoots, even with sports illustrated in the bikini. It is maybe unfair of me...she was very young and they definitely propelled her into the top echelons of attractive women.

But as a parallel to her consistent success in tennis, I think year after year of huge endorsement contracts making her the highest paid female athlete definitely has an element of her competitive side. Her body is always in top notch condition for tennis and picture taking. She tries new ideas, new moods, new products, and it works without messing herself up the way a lot of models and actresses do. There are bad photos of her in modeling or non court appearances occasionally, but the percentage of photos in which she looks good is astronomical. I cannot think of any other celebrity who matches it.
