Re: New Game - Who will last longer?
not sure if it's entirely fair but
I decided to pretend last week never happened.
ranks:
Player %right correct/total
1 Archer16 100% 6/6
2 neospecialist 100% 5/5
3 Wert. 100% 1/1
4 dresenson 75% 3/4
5 shirgan 29% 2/7

Re: New Game - Who will last longer?
next week as far as I can see the only Israelis playing will be Peer and Glushko.
Glushko if I understand correctly is playing usopen qualies and even if I wanted to consider it as an independent tournament, the timing is a bit off, so not sure it's possible to compare the two.
So seems likely the game will have a week off unless there are any objections.

Re: New Game - Who will last longer?
How about number of wins?
If both win the same then bets are void.

^
And people have to guess who will have more wins?
The problem is that Glushko's draw will probably be known only after Peer starts to play so people are going to find it difficult to make a clean guess either way.

Re: New Game - Who will last longer?
Yes, that was the idea.
You're probably right about the NH schedule vs USO qualies draw - Shahar will almost surely play Monday evening (our time) whereas the draw will probably be available early Tuesday - but if we were to play the game this week as I suggested, then regardless of her draw, I'm taking Julia anyway...

Re: New Game - Who will last longer?
OK, so "number of wins" it is for this week
Win count includes singles and doubles.
Guesses have to be made before Peer (or Glushko) plays
If Glushko for some reason doesn't appear in the qualies draw, the week is not counted.
Options:
Julia Glushko (USO qualies)
Shahar Peer (New Haven 600K singles, doubles)

Re: New Game - Who will last longer?
There's still time until today (Monday) at about 17 UTC (13 EST) to make a pick
(Peer plays 2nd match after 1st match starting at 16 UTC)

Re: New Game - Who will last longer?
Seeing Julia's draw (commented on it in her thread), I can only hope that Shahar will have to do a bit more than that to get you the win
