Re: Players calling time this year
^none of these will retire this year (although some of them should really do )
And why is Flavia on the list?

Kimiko Date, Stephanie Foretz Gacon, Elena Baltacha.
That's it I think.

Re: Players calling time this year
Kveta Peschke confirmed at the end of 2011 that this is going to be her last year on the tour. She's definitely retiring.
Baltacha is probably done too. Her emotional reaction after losing at the Olympics probably confirmed that she isn't going to be coming back even after her injury is recovered.

I think the following are likely candidates for retirement:
Pennetta
Schiavone
Petrova
Jankovic
Tanasugarn
Craybas
Date-Krumm

Re: Players calling time this year
I hate to say it, as I love her, but I can definitely see Tammy Tanasugarn retiring. Her body just won't let her play like she should be able to.

Re: Players calling time this year
Pennetta still has doubles credentials so I do not think she will go, and she still wins sometimes in singles.
Baly wants one last bow at wimbledon I think...
