i guess it's serious since she didn't even step on the court, it's her first final at this level... you think she would do anything just to try to play

I doubt it's serious. She closed out her match yesterday convincingly (61 in the second set) and it would be unusual if she came down with something serious between then and today. It's probably a case of 24-hour food poisoning or something similar.
