Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
Tereza is playing $50K Contrexeville this week and is the #8 seed but has a horrible draw:
+ In R1 Sevastova (top non-seed, CH 36, winner of last week's $25K Zwevegem and RU at $50K Versmold the week before)
+ If she gets past that, in R2 most likely Woerle (CH 119)

no posts here?
Tereza plays really good, tomorrow she will play fourth final this year (she lost all three finals in Fort Walton Beach, Chiasso, Rome, all 25k events)
Now she is No. 187 in world but whit points from this week, she will be around No. 170.

Yeah, looks like we forgot to monitor her progress recently, but great to hear how well she's been doing. It'd be really great if she could take the title, cause with the advances that she's made in her game in the past year, she really deserves some rewards (I wonder how come she didn't get any WC's into some more important events).

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
And Tereza was so impressive on her was to the final (without losing a set and any of her opponents haven't won more than 4 games in set) while her final opponent, Severine Beltrame (career high 34th) just won R1 in two sets (and her opponent retired). She 33 years old and 264th so I think this is really biggest opportunity for Tereza to win her first final this year!

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
Don't know the score, but there's no shame in losing to a veteran who's been very close to top 30 at the height of her career. As long as Tereza can continue to climb up the rankings (how ever slowly), I'm fine with her results.
It'll be interesting to see the quali entry list for US Open this year

Re: Tereza Mrdeza cheering thread
Well, I don't know much about Pegula, but from her results I'm getting the impression that her inexperience shows in her game quite often. For instance, her most recent result is reaching the finals of a 100k in Vancouver, where she beat Boserup, Glushko and Minella(!), but then in the finals lost rather convincingly to Burdette (#251), so she seems very on and off. Hope she'll be off against Tereza.
There's really no easy grand slam debut, cause the experince of it in itself is enough to make it a tough task. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that Tereza will be up to the challange presented before her.
Good luck!
