Btw - The photos were taken at a practise session with Akgul, before her Centre Court match At the end of the practise session Iroda came over to a group of kids and gave them all tennis balls...that's who she's smiling at in the last few photos

I wondered what was going on, when I saw these last 4 pics on facebook. That’s typical of Iroda, she hasn’t changed

I wish she would give it another go. She is SO TALENTED. Has all the qualities to be a big time player. Her only weakness may have been her lack of consistency. It is so sad that injuries have ruined what could have been such an exciting career. Hopefully we will see her on tour for one last go!

Any news? Or did we all get kicked out of Iroda’s facebook in July? I know it wasn’t just me. It looked like if you were male and not a personal friend, you got booted out. I guess Iroda wants to be more private these days, but we’re back to the dark old days of 2008, no news, no pics.

I don’t think Iroda’s coaching Akgul anymore. I heard Iroda wasn’t in NY for the USO and Akgul seems to have Steeve Elhaik coaching her now.

Iroda’s friend, Viktoriya Karmenova, has some cracking Iroda pics in her facebook album. I was going to ask Iroda permission, to post a few pics on here, but that’s when I discovered I’d been unfriended, so never got the chance. Album can be viewed here. Especially like the Tashkent Open Kids Clinic photos with Anastasia Myskina.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to Iroda I’m not sure everything went well for Iroda, in 2012. I’m guessing that’s why her facebook account disappeared for 2 months, but hopefully EVERYTHING goes RIGHT for 2013
