Kanepi has withdrawn from London, so Sabine will be seeded #16

Does it mean she has to play Vika in the round of 16?

Sharapova would be the best choice then, not so sure I like her chances against Vika.

To see her play Sharapova again on the same court, weeks later would be...

Re: 2012 Summer Olympics - London Calling!
No Sharapova please, knowing Maria, she would be twice as good as last time, because she lost the match in Wimbledon.

Re: 2012 Summer Olympics - London Calling!
I've been impressed by how Sabine has played Maria better each time -- I think she's finally got her figured out. But then again, it's like Maria said -- this is about more than one match. As long as Sabine goes in with the same attitude she had against her in Wimbledon, I think she will be okay.

I just read in GM

And if Cibulkova loses today, Sabine's chance to draw Sharapova in the 3rd round is still 50%.

I also prefer her playing Maria (inst. of Serena/Vika ) in the rround of last 16. If Sabine is not in Serena's half things will be fine

Gotta be more optimistic. Sharapova kinda sucks on grass now, plus Sabine will hopefully still be on a high from her awesome win over her. Just hopefully she's fit and brings her serve back to London with her.
