It really sucks if an injury didn't let her play her game the way she can. But she got into the main draw for the first time and got her first win

Re: Jamie Hampton
Anyone know why Jamie barely plays WTA events?
She isnt entered in any US events at all and has only played 8 events this year..

Weird. She should be playing all the US Summer hard court tournaments

I think she has had some small, lingering injuries. The commentators kept saying in her match vs. Watson that something was wrong with her back.

Thanks. I was wondering where she's been. Poor kid! Hope she can get back to full strength soon.

Re: Jamie Hampton
Bulging or herniated disk. Heard it during the Watson match online

Re: Jamie Hampton
Looks like Jamie is getting back to her early spring form.
Last week she qualified at Seoul, but lost in the 2nd rd to Makarova.
This week she has qualified at Tokyo, and won her 1st match against Caroline Garcia 6-2 6-2.

Re: Jamie Hampton
Great stuff. Looks like she waited until the injury really healed before returning, at least I hope so. Good luck to her against Kaia!

Re: Jamie Hampton
Another impressive victory for Jamie, 63 62 over Ayumi Morita in Morita's homeland. Not bad, Jamie!
