Re: 2011-2012 Rankings

How so? UCLA is behind Duke according to that ranking?

Moreover UCLA beat Stanford at Taube, shouldn't that result entitle to like bonus pts?

Re: 2011-2012 Rankings

From the perspective of how the Pac-12 teams is ranked, I think Stanford is a stronger team than UCLA, but lost to UCLA without Ahn and UCLA lost to both USC and California, both teams that Stanford beat. From the start, Florida and Stanford were the teams to beat and Stanford would still be undefeated if it wasn't that upset against UCLA or what I call a wake-up call (that they can't go deep into the NCAA's without Ahn).

I agree Florida should be #1 since they lost only to Stanford. I think Duke should be ranked #4 behind Stanford and UCLA.

Maybe Duke is ranked so high because they padded their schedule with so many matches

Re: 2011-2012 Rankings

pts calculations aside, another thing I can't understand is;

How is OYEN/WILL #1?

They didn't WIN anything, lost to STAN TWICE, and not only that, lost to;

PEPP & USC(South Carolina)

okay I see that one loss against STAN and PEPP is when Will partnered with Cercone. But still

Re: 2011-2012 Rankings

I was checking the ITA website in result results and some of the players individual rankings have changed
J Cako was 15 now 20
S Tan dropped from mid 30s to mid 50s
but Will still 1 in singles & dbls so it MUST BE WRONG!
