But according to the 'experts' on GM, if she makes the finals and doesn't win, she will be a slamless no.1 cause she wont have any slam in her 52 weeks ranking.

We know better Maria really improved her game the last 52 weeks 2 GS Finals, and is playing near her old (before the surgery) form, offcourse Masha will be a target on "GM" but she will hold 4 GS

So if conditions are so slow and heavy that Joker cannot even score points against ATP Minor Mug Seppi, what's Pova to do tomorrow? No sun is gonna shine between now and Pova time tomorrow.

The conditions will only deteriorate further as the high humidity and drizzle continues, the court will get slower, the ball will get heavier, until it actually splashes when it hits the super saturated clay.

Pova plays for a QF slot in a tournament, that if she wins, will finally give her that post-surgery Major, a Career Slam and the #1 Rank. The girl has to find extra motivation somewhere for playing tennis in a cold quagmire.

IMO, NO way. There is no 'rule' which makes you a slam less No.1.

Maria has shown she has the capability to win slams, and that doesn't make her a slamless No.1 if she does become one. But regardless, why are we talking about it now, just the R4 now.

But don't forget she played Justine also on a rainy day and allmost won, don't see Masha losing tomorrow even on slow clay, she still can generate pace, it's not an advantage but still.., let's hope the weather changes.
