Hi Jimbo,
Let me provide you a list of the Budapest International and the Hungarian International Champs. While I may have missed a couple of editions of the Budapest International (sometimes it is difficult to distinguish from a Budapest event only for Hungarians), I am quite sure these are the only editions of the Hungarian International Champs.
In the past I consulted contemporary Hungarian newspapers to get many of these results. The men are also included, you can of course delete their results.

Hi, Bill,

I posted that list here a few weeks ago, along with a list of the Finnish Indoors Championships. Ditto for the same two events at the Norwegian Championships and the Danish Championships. Mauro then added them to the main pages.

Oh good grief. Silly error on my part.

At least 1 good thing did come of it. The 1948 winner Maire Harlin is the same as the 1949 winner Maire Arni. Maire Harlin was married in 1948-49.

A couple of first names of early winners/runners-up at the Scottish Hard Court Championships:

J. Rankine -> Jean Rankine
J. Riddick -> Jessie Riddick
--

The E. Walker who won the women's singles title at the Scottish Championships in 1958 was E.A. Walker, known as Anne.
--

The above three players were Scottish.

Re: Official Tournament Winners by Event

And by using Andrew's dates and the New York Times I was able to find the score for the 1956 final-it was 6-1 13-11.

Not sure how it impacts your format Jimbo-Brewer had not yet wed Segal at this point.
