Re: Claypova in Rome: Veni, vidi, vici. The Sequel ...
Congrats on a great week Maria (Bar the shitty play in the final ) A successful title defense, a 5th title on clay and title No. 26, what more could we ask for as fans
Sooooo much credit to Masha, didn't think she could turn it around at 4-6, 0-4 and even when she started the comeback in set 2 I feared it would just be another of her mini comebacks but I'm sooooooooo glad she proved me wrong. Never doubt this woman
On to the French now, please carry this momentum

Both Li and Pova played quite well in the Final. Pova's serve went on walk-about in the conditions but that's only to be expected.

imo the first 3-4 game and the last 2-3 game was good, some great shot from both player.
This match maria had 2 or 3 bad swing volley ( the volley in 12th game 3 set make my heart ). from what i remember in her sf match, she still had 2 or 3 bad swing volley near the net.

Re: Claypova in Rome: Veni, vidi, vici. The Sequel ...
Congrats for WTA title #26, Maria !
The match was a big mess. Thank God the better player won. Difficult weather conditions, so much rain. And the days before it was too windy. Many matches were shit in Rome, really ugly tennis. Also way too many retirements/walkovers.
Li was leading 6-4 4-0 and had a MP - and lost the match

True, the only thing counts when a player retires is her titles.

I don't care where it comes or whether the draw falls apart for her (OK, unlikely since the draw always crumbles for someone else at the Slams and mugs like Garcia play the match of their lives FFS).
