No way in hell Dokic should be any part of the team. Sam, Jarmila, Anastasia & Casey surely. I'd use Sam and Anastasia for singles.

That would seem likely. But they dont stand a chance anymore. Now that everyone except for sam is out of form, they will lose definately. Even if Germany field B Team Kerber, Goerges, Gronefveld and Barthel they will probably still win

When it comes to Fed Cup it's always advisable to expect the unexpected. The selectors of both teams have honoured that fine tradition by including players who are unlikely to play a live rubber (Rogowska, Petkovic) at the expense of players who are in pretty good form (Rodionova, Barthel). On paper it seems that Germany will win unless Sam wins 3 matches, but I wouldn't bet my house on the outcome of any of the matches, or of the tie as a whole.

Sam should have won her single alot easier. Gadjasova played a great match and deserved the win. Hopefully this will kickstart a run of form for her. 2-0 up Woohoo, but i still think Germany can win this.

It's pretty funny that so many people are down on Sam for not winning more easily, seeing as how a majority voted for Angie on the WWW poll. Tbh I never understood how Angie could be seen as the favorite on clay, but she's been in fantastic form so this was always going to be a tough match. Sam was really thumping the ball out there, but Angie fought her heart out and got some amazing balls back into play, which meant that Sam was effectively having to win a lot of points 2 or three times before she closed them out. Under those circumstances she did really well I thought to win in 2.
