Christina has co-wrote pretty much all her songs since her debut . "Beautiful" being the most notable exception.

Well I disagree. Vocals are an instrument if you consider the fact that most of the songs these artists do would be nothing without their vocals (with the exception of Britney's Femme Fatale album - the instrumentals are AMAZING!!!!!)
and just to add to the discussion, if someone hypothetically hits a cowbell or a cymbal in a song does that make them more of a musician than Christina or Brandy who put a lot of effort into their vocals, harmonies etc just because they're playing an "instrument"?

Britney's a real interesting case. She had all the tools when she was younger to become a really good singer.
Her voice is still cute, but didn't quite develop as it could've. And of course she used to dance her ass off before her knee got wrecked. She's far from talentless.

christina would never be able to sing songs like 'listen' 'i care' 'love on top' 'speechless' someone who is choking in simple middle notes wouldn't be able to even dream of even touching the upper belts for a slight second, let alone sustaining them and going back and forth
and single ladies is nothing but a tempo song, so that doesn't prove anything
