@donell: Owning the competition left and right, but I really miss them being completely healthy and competing.
Clearly injuries have affected both of them because they both should at least be in the top 10 without any doubt.

OMG, tennis is such a bore without her. I'm justing hoping she is able to play Miami because it has been too long not seeing her on the courts.

Yes tennis has been very boring without Venus, I was always a casual football fan and now since Venus (& Serena) have been out I have started watching football full-time and I'm starting to love it just as much as tennis. I'm a Giants/Eli fan so I was very happy with outcome

That's the shame of it. Obviously the wrong choice of word on my behalf, but the point I was making is that they shouldn't really be there considering their talent (at 135 and 136 respectively).

Re: Queen Venus' chat thread: Volume 2 :D
I am so glad Venus did not play in Kuala Lumpur. It keeps raining and matches keep getting cancelled. Imagine if she had to play two matches in a row in the same day. Thank you God for help her dodge that bullet!
@ico: I love your signatures! Each time I see a new one gives me a smile because they are so creative and inspiring.

winone23 posted a nice blurb in the interviews & articles thread about VStarr getting a fat hotel contract & we both marveled at the mercurial passing of time. i remember quite a few of her supporters in an uproar when she started the business. 'concentrate on your tennis!' was the word
from pursuing an improbable Compton tennis dream, withdrawing from juniors, playing a schedule that suited her, aggressive management of her celebrity, fashion school, businesses, etc ... its clear Vee is not merely comfortable walking against the grain, she probably feels quite at home. Vee is gonna do Vee, i just love dat!

I lived in NY years ago and now in NJ so I remain Giants fan! I do have other interests that I use to fill the void with the absence of Vee as well. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that she is able to play Miami because the wait is causing me some anxiety.

I also admire the way she does her own thing regardless of what anyone else says or does. It is remarkable that she has lived a full life simultaneously along her career. I think she is the role modle for other female athletes that ou dont't have to stick with the conventional way.
Loves your Vee pics also!

Re: Queen Venus' chat thread: Volume 2 :D
Vee wants pink in her hair. Normally I'd be angry judging her, but I think that might be a good sign that she's actually coming back.

She loves pink, pity it didn't quite work last year down under when she did it.
And I'm actually at peace now with Vee's absence, the days are drawing nearer and st least we can take comfort that she won't miss Miami

This week started with a hurricane. I hope she found some comfort in the rain.

Regards Miami, i don't think time could possibly be moving much slower
On the other hand, the (requested) WC bodes well for her actually playing both Miami and Charleston, and if she doesn't this time then there will be tears
