It's possible that she is part Croatian, like many people from Bosnia (just like many have Serbian roots), but I really don't know for sure. But, as is usually the case in professional sport, this probably has more to do with who offers you better working conditions, and looks like Bosnians made some extra effort. Good for them. It was about time they start capitalising on their own talents. Good luck Jasmina!

Her parents are Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims).
She said in an interview in a Bosnian newspaper that she accepted the offer to play for Croatia at a time when the Bosnian tennis association didn't pay any attention to young talents, but that the situation now has changed and that she is glad to represent her country again.

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**
BTW, I think this thread should be moved to the "rest of the world" forum

I agree. We already "returned" Amer Delic from the US, Jasmina Kajtazovic from Slovenia (although she isn't really performing very well) and now Jasmina Tinjic from Croatia.
Hopefully Dalila Jakupovic (Slovenia) and Amra Sadikovic (Switzerland) will also follow...

I agree with this.
I'll still be cheering for Jasmina, she is nice girl.
Good luck to her! Hopefully will continue to improve.

Re: **Jasmina Tinjic Chearing Thread**
Thanks for moving the thread.
Could someone change the thread name to "Bosnian tennis players"
