AO MXD QF: Beth/Horia def Jarka/Soares 4-6, 6-1, 13-11. They finally closed it out on their 4th MP. Bethanie was by far the better player today and she was really making a lot happen. Very good match from her. Horia must've been tired from that tough 3 set loss vs the Bryan Bros but he's really going to need to pick it up for the SF.

They face Sania/Mahesh in the SF. VERY tough match. Good luck Beth/Horia!

Funny match moment: at 9-8 in the STB, Horia hit a lucky net cord that threw everyone off and the point continued and Jarka hit Beth pretty hard at the net to make it 9-9. At the net during the handshake, after the guys/girls did their handshakes, the guys did their handshake and Beth showed a mark to Jarka where she must've hit her and made a little sad face and they both laughed.

Well, that may be a good thing

I was so into the Masha vs Petra match, that I forgot Beth was playing . Maybe that's how I broke the jinx . So, I'm going to go to sleep and forget about the matches I should then wake up to Rafa and Lisa victories. Let's see how that works out ...
