Hey, welcome back. Hopefully I can make this a discussion thread so we can know which kind of stats would make one become a better player and rise in the rankings faster/win many titles etc.

BTW, I finally won my first slam in the USO. and now reach career high rank of #3. with 17 titles in total. My slam results: SF-QF-SF-W.

i've always wondered too, whether it's more important to improve your skills or your surfaces? any suggestions?

Thanks. I think both are equally important, but if you want to get a big win to get extra bonus points early on your career (as you usually can't get much when you're ranked higher), I think it's best you put higher surface points on one of them (for example on hard) and at least even stats on others I think. If you put all even stats, it's hard to get a breakthrough until you have enough stat points to become a top player. Choosing events is also important I believe, especially if you want to win a title or win a slam. There's been some 'momentum' factor going on with the game too I guess.

You basically have to play the game every day (from what I remember). It took me over a year to get a high rank. Good luck.

You actually have a decent career but yeah, your lack of surface points didn't help you much to go further in your career.
