Re: Japanese Juniors Thread
Congratulations are in order for Akiko Omae, who just won her first ITF title in Tokyo, beating Misa Eguchi in the final.

Re: Japanese Juniors Thread
Wimbledon Junior Q Draw is out. I'm so sad I can't attend the juniors this year. I had an amazing time last year watching Ishizu.
Pretty difficult matches.
Miyu Kato vs (16) Victoria Duval
Risa Ozaki vs (4) Ons Jabeur
Nao Hibino vs (wc) Katy Dunne
Miho Kowase vs (10) Alison Van Uytvanck
Eri Hozumi vs (wc) Daneika Borthwick
Makoto Ninomiya vs Francesca Stephenson
Unfortunately I don't think Miyu, Risa or Miho have much chance because their opponents are in good form, as is Stephenson, but Makoto does have a small chance there.
I don't know much about Hozumi, but I saw Borthwick play at Nottingham a couple of weeks ago against Lee-Waters, she took a set against her and seems to know how to play on grass, so I'd say that could prove to be tricky.
I don't know much about Hibino or Dunne, so I'd say that is the best chance of a win, imo.

Hozumi is out to Borthwick, as well.

Re: Japanese Juniors Thread
No problem and welcome!
Are you attending Wimbledon next week? Please watch them if you can! I'm sure you'll have a great time, I preferred going to the Junior tournament last year than the first week of the main draw. Probably because it was less busier... Have a great time if you are!

Re: Japanese Juniors Thread
Very unlucky draw. Nao might be the only hope for a win, though I do think Miyu could challenge Victoria.
Kanami got her first WTA points this week. QF at Indonesian 10k

Re: Japanese Juniors Thread
Well, one week on and Hibino did indeed beat Dunne and fell in the second round, but Ozaki also had the win of her career to defeat Roland Garros champion Ons Jabeur, then Seaborne in the second round. Unfortunately, she fell 0 and 1 to Indy De Vroome in the third round, but this was still a great effort from Risa.
I've been pretty impressed with some of her results, but when she has lost pretty easily in some of her matches. It would be nice to see her starting to play more pro tournaments frequently.

Re: Japanese Juniors Thread
US Open Junior Entry List
Main Draw

42. Risa Ozaki JPN 57
Qualifications
5. Ayaka Okuno JPN 64
9. Nao Hibino JPN 72
Alternates
4. Mami Adachi JPN 105
47. Sanae Ohta JPN 224
