Nope, sorry I shall be sticking to the rankings. WTA only occasionally do it at Wimbledon anyway but I have always stuck to the rankings throughout every season. If you want to win the tournament you have to beat everyone!

Well, well, well..... look who shows up with some decent tennis right before defending her US Open title?! Schiavone scored great wins here this week over Jankovic and then Ivanovic here in the final, who won last week in Montreal. Schiavone will rebound to #6 in the new rankings and will desperately want to produce this tennis next week in New York. Another fab result for Ivanovic who has played well all hard-court season and will be looking to peak next week in NYC. |
