Good to have her back. I'm not expecting a win, but will be thrilled if she can do it. No pressure at all, just go out swinging!

At first glance I thought Holland was a shoe in but as rusty as she is Mon is still far more experienced and Isabella is a bit of a shocker at closing out matches.... and Mon will no doubt just be happy to be on court which could work in her favour.

How bad is Mons knees from this week's retirement? I see she has withdrawn from qualifying at the $50k tourney in Dothan on 18 April WD is the date she did her knee in Bundy. Has anyone got any news.

Monique is back! Won an AMT on the weekend over Emily Hewson and now she is planning an Asian assualt starting in Gifu qualifiers. Her knee is going well and so is her leg. First full overseas assault in a year. Very excited to see how she goes. Monique deserves all the luck in the world.

Hope she does really well in her upcoming tournaments. For some reason I have always admired her grit and she has always been a smart thinker when it comes to scheduling.

She deserves a lucky break or two given her run with injuries.

At the end of 2009 I thought she was destined for the top 100. Certainly was getting the runs on the board, and she seemed to pick it up again in 2010 before the injury happened. This is probably her last hurrah, so I hope she enjoys it and can make a go of it. She has the talent

Yeh shes kept coming back through tough times, lets remember shes won rounds in slams bfore injuries. So def lets hope for one last super top 100 effort

For a player with her talent to never reach the top 100 would be a real shame. And it's only because of injuries that she hasn't. Best of luck to her!

Nicely said. Be so good to for the lovely Monique to get back. she has really been held back by these injuries. The horrible sternum one was so horrible a while back....hearing Monique explaining the treatment was enough for me let alone having to go through it myself!

Well done Mon. I should imagine she had been a bit disappointed with her results since her comeback so this should reinforce to her she does have the game to be a success. She was entered for qualifying in the $25k in Japan this week but her name seems to have disappeared.

I'll think she'll get in to the MD directly as a special entry (SE) for having reached the final last week.
