Victorian Grasscourts finished today with Azra Hadzic giving Viktoria Rajicic a bit of a touch up winning 6-2 6-2 in the final.

Hadzic beat Karen Filippou in the semis, Olivia Rich made the quaters going down in 3 to Rajicic, Annelise Tepper lost in the third round to Mary Ann Balint.

Also further local news Teiwa Casey is finally back playing winning a local tournament also held on Grass in Perth today.

Hadzic really does own Rajicic. I wonder what it is about her game that Viktorija doesn't like?

Yeah, it's like Monika and Ashling. Hadzic must have a decent shot at at QWC for the Australian Open

Yeah maybe. you'd think if Ferguson and Peers get wildcards. Then Moore, Patterson, Letcher, Wejnert, Holland, Rajicic are certainties. Also depends on how Mirkovic recovers, but at this stage she would be out.

I think TA will skip Mirkovic and Bai for wildcards. Both have had a few QWCs in the past (especially Mirkovic) and neither has made enough solid progress to warrant continued handouts. I reckon TA will bypass them for the likes of Hadzic and Barty...

Shannon Golds is playing another AMT this weekend - a gold AMT on the Sunshine Coast. Shayna McDowell is also there. Both are doing well and into the QF.

Hope Shannon makes a proper comeback this year.

I love checking who pops up in the AMTs. Shannon Golds ended up winning the AMT Gold on the Sunshine Coast. There's one in Newcastle now and Trudi Musgrave is in the final! A bit random of Trudi, but I like it

Im pretty sure she is, well she is going to start with some aussie 25s...thats the word on the street anyway!!

U always have such an inside knowledge into things that no one else does, i guess this is because u know people.
U only share this information so briefly, is there any other interesting information about any other players which u wouldn't mind sharing? Or can u give us a little more depth into whats happening with Shannon?

Emily Hewson just won a Gold AMT over the weekend

She's been playing quite a bit the past few months. Wonder if she'll give some ITFs a go??

Thanks, i know quite a few of the players and have worked at tournaments in the past and made good contacts in the industry, there are some things that can't be posted on here that im told in confidence but generally if i do hear something I will be happy to share it with my co aussie posters....

such an awesome chick, I wonder what would have happened if she never joined the AIS....having said that she did take a break to complete her uni degree!! Hopefully she will play a few events but i think she has lost the drive to compete internationally!!

Has the 2011 AIS Pro tour squad been announced?? Heard a rumour Jess Moore has told them to shove it where sun dont shine but that is purely a rumour!!
