okay... some news on Marlot's website...
It says that "things are just not going as planned".
we noticed that
Apparently she made changes in her technique in order to reach the top 200 but it doesn't come out in the matches... It also says that it does work in training already and not they're waiting until it comes out during matches...
Target for 2009 is set on top 250... Think Marlot will have a hard time reaching that target as she is now nr 350 on the ranking and has about 40/45 points to defend until the end of the year (which is another 100 spots). And she's not on any entrylists for the coming week (except for Georgia this week...)

Of course we all know by now but Marlot has made the quarters in the Tbilisi challenger. She'll be facing Oksana Kalashnikova who is ranked 192 in the world...

As an update:
Marlot lost that quarter in Tblisi 36 46

Next tournament was the challenger in Istanbul; in the first Q-round she defeated a Turkish girl, but Marlot got whipedin the 2n round by Shapakidze; 62 62
So far the season didn't bring the top 250 that she aimed for... Next up is the qualifying tournament of Ismaning (50k)
