He still helps Maria. They call each other a lot apparently and he helps her when she's training at home.

I just think Maria's a creature of habit and if she feels comfortable playing in HK as he Aussie warmup then that's what she should do (plus it pays her the most $$$ )

I never said you did. Strasbourg and Memphis just happen to be of the same category as B&A and you said that you wouldn't expect much competition in an event of that tier.
Yes, she's a creature of habit, but changing things up from time to time could prove to benefit her. Just look at Nadal who changed his grip when serving right before the US Open...
And the $$$$$$$ should really be a non-factor in all of her decisions, imo.

Gosh he moved on! Maria is old enough to make her own decisions and has Michael to back her up as well. Yuri has a life now.

Oh my god Pieter, it's true! Maria isn't getting spanked after bad match now, when Yuri was around he spanked her and then she played well in her next match!

*edit* I do however think that if not Yuri, Masha should consider adding a new element to her coaching team. Someone she's not buddy buddy with.

nobody has bloody anything to do with HER confidence, she needs to sort it out in her head. I do however think getting extra help from another coach would be a good idea tennis wise, but that again can't help her mentally if she doesn't sort things out with herself.

How old is Yuri now? Let him live his life. He worked hard all his life for his daughter.

While I do agree that Yuri has a life to live, it'd be nice to see him once in a while at one of her matches.

Exactly. Give the guy some slack. He deserves to have a life outside of tennis nowadays!

This.
edit: and I find it very strange that there are people suggesting she should break up with Sasha since she always seems happy when there are pics of the two.
