US Open seed will be based on next week's (starting with Monday the 23rd) ranking I think

yup. US Open seeding is after Montreal's points are added. So Kaia definately needs to get the win over Bammer, to make sure she get's the seeding for US Open.
Hopefully then she get's an easy draw for the first and second round

Kaia played well, she got already the aim of this tournament, which was to secure a seeding in this. Hopefully though she can really go the distance here and do some real damage in the seedings

I'm sure Kaia just tanked her match, because she is schedulled to have a killing physio training coming up from now to get ready for US Open. I just wish she had made a lil more effort on this case.
Don't be shocked if she loses in New Haven R1. I just hope she knows what she's doing.
God I hope her US Open will be a success then with all these bad losses.
