Macedonian origin. Macedonian surnames are finishing with ski for men and ska for women. In Bojana's case, her surname is ski because her family probably abbandoned that 'rule' about womens surnames ending with -a so the whole family has the same surname.

Bojana is half Serbian and has always said she feels Serbian that's why she plays under the Serb Flag. Just as Dokic feels Aussie i guess
