Lucie and Wozniak lost to Benesova and Zahlavova-Strycova 6-1 6-1 They really don't make a great doubles team.

They lost by that scoreline to those two?
Wozniak was pretty awful against Elena yesterday but didn't Benesova lose to Wozniak It sounds like Wozniak is even worse in doubles, if that's possible
By the way are you over Lucie's loss because i am still not quite After seeing Penneta handily beat Hercog it reminded me what a big wasted opportunity this was.

Re: Lucie at Roland Garros 2010
No I am really furious about it because she just let Hercog push her into errors 90% of the time. She would have beaten Pennetta and probably Wozniacki if she had got there imo, because she was playing well enough (and she always beats Pennetta). She just had a bad day against a stupid pusher and she lost it. Her form coming in was so good, so I really can't get over my anger at this. The million rain delays certainly didn't help because she never would have got her rhythm, which she needs. Blurgh

Re: Lucie at Roland Garros 2010
Lucie needs a new doubles partner. What about Zvonareva? They had a bunch of success in Dubai.

Re: Lucie at Roland Garros 2010
I'm glad it's not just me. I really wish that they had a clear spell that day and got on with the match but Lucie seems to not have had enought time to force a rhythm with all the delays
When i initially first found out i thought maybe people who had been saying she was talented had a point and she had played a superb match. To find out Lucie just was forced out of rhythm and induce errors is so irritating It must have been worse watching it live.
It is shit to see that Wozniacki or Pennetta are there instead they are so much less interesting to watch and i also felt for sure Lucie would have beaten her bitch and then dismiss Wozniacki.
Like you i think her form going in makes this result hard to swallow but then Lucie can do that to you

Re: Lucie at Roland Garros 2010
I think Lucie doesn't really play doubles enough to get a regular partner, and I don't really think she should bother with it in the slams either. She is really not a good doubles player
Lucie can do that to us, but we had 3 tournaments in a row of solid play and results, I guess 4 was too much to ask for If she was in the section of the draw of Groth vs Shvedova, I have no question in my mind that she would make th QF now...because neither of them push she would have beaten them. I really think the rain delays ruined her, because she is a big rhythm player. Oh well, we must move on. Looks like she is playing Eastbourne, so until then....we will have to live with THAT as the last match

Yeah i really can't imagine Lucie being a good doubles player unless she played with a specialist as i doubt she'd have the court craft.
Lucie's at Eastbourne Even if it's a crappy tournament i wish i could get a ticket to go and watch.
